An Utter Waste of Five Minutes

Generally, I love Slate. But this is the worst piece of drivel I've ever seen there. This is what happens when everyone is given access to mass media. People assume that their every thought is so wonderful and amazing, even the long rambling thoughts they've got about cultural minutae like SkyMall, that it must be shared. You know... sort of like this blog.
